Pack up the summer stuff. The weather can be unpredictable and yes, there may be a few more super warm days ahead, but leaving your summer out until the first frost is a mistake. Clear out the clutter. Now is a great time to clear out some clutter. If you have houseguests coming for the holidays, you're going to need the extra space. Even if you're not having overnight guests, you may be hosting a party or other holiday event. The less clutter you have to deal with, the quicker and easier it will be to clean. Plus, you'll be able to enjoy your holiday decorations more if they aren't buried in a sea of clutter. The milder weather also means it's a great time to work in the garage or attic. Reorganize your storage. While you're out there cleaning, reorganize your storage area. When you shove stuff out of the way to get to one thing you risk misplacing or damaging other items that you will need later in the year.
