- Organize based on how you get dressed. We don't believe in one size fits all inventory management solutions and we don't think closet management should be any different. If temperature is your biggest deciding factor organize your clothes by warmth level. - Lost in the shuffle. Long items have a bad habit of covering up anything underneath them. Try to avoid placing items underneath those long pieces that will hide them. If you have double rows of hanging stuff put shorter items on the top row so that they don't pool against the second row of hangers. If you do have to put shoes or something else underneath long items try to choose pieces that you seldom wear. Just 'cause something fits that doesn't mean that it gets worn often. If, after a few months, you realize that you have certain items that you consistently pass over in favor of others weed them out. Keeping things that you don't wear is a bad thing. It takes up room, increases wear on the other items hanging in your closet and it makes it harder for you to get dressed each and every morning.
