- Anchorage – This is a great Alaska gateway city. Anchorage is renowned for its cultural sites including the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Venture further into the state to see breathtaking nature and animals.
- Savannah – Like Charleston, Savannah is a southern city steeped in charm. The unique street square layout is a pleasure to take in from the back of a horse drawn carriage. As an added bonus, most drivers are skilled at peppering local history with tales of humor and personal interest. If you miss the beach, Tybee Island is just a short drive away.
- San Antonio – Texas is hot in the summer but San Antonio’s Riverwalk is a great place to cool down and enjoy some shopping or good eats. If you go plan to cruise the Riverwalk – the short boat ride comes complete with a narrated history of the area. If history’s your thing be sure to visit the Alamo as well.
- St. Augustine – Often overlooked St. Augustine is a Florida gem that shouldn’t be missed. History, shopping, beaches – St. Augustine’s got it all.
