It’s still summer and already the stores are bursting with fall and even Christmas merchandise. At work, at home, we all have decorations of one sort or another. It’s likely that you have some holiday specific pieces and others that are more general seasonal decorations. All of this stuff has to be stored when it is not in use and remembered when the time comes to put it out.  Storage bins and a label maker can only get you so far.  I’ve even seen some organizational gurus advocate itemized lists on the end of bins. I love to get snowmen on clearance in February but then they go right into storage until the following winter. When something comes into your home and is immediately packed away it’s easy to forget that you own it. Not a problem, until you buy something similar at full price the next year before you pull out that box or bin.
