Getting to Know Stockpile: Removing Inventory

Hopefully, after adding some inventory,  you'll soon be selling it to customers. There are 2 main ways items leave your inventory system:

1. Customer Sale: the goal!

2. Damaged Stock: sometimes an item never makes it out of the stock room

Today, we'll look and the basics of tracking a Customer Sale with Stockpile. Getting started is easy:

The process is just like adding inventory. This time,  press the big 'remove' button instead.  You can do this from the catalog page, like we did in the add example, or from the item view (pictured above).

From the Remove Inventory screen, you can specify how many units were sold and at what price per unit:

A Customer Sale reduces your in-stock count for your current location:

As with adding inventory, this transaction is logged with the quantity and unit price for later calculations. It can be viewed on the individual item screen or the Inventory Transaction Report.
