Cloud Computing is Red Hot!

Cloud computing is red hot right now. I can’t think red hot without hearing a Red Hot Chili Pepper’s song in my head. Fittingly enough, the one that comes to mind right now is “Under the Bridge” from their 1991 album “Blood Sugar Sex Magik.”

“Sometimes I feel like I don’t have a partner. Sometimes I feel like my only friend is the city I live in.”

When running a small business it can often feel like you are on your own. You wear multiple hats and have to rely almost exclusively on yourself to keep your business running. It can be very stressful to know that the success or failure of your business rests squarely on your shoulders. But then you already know all that. What you might not know is how cloud computing can help.

We’ve talked about cloud computing in several previous posts. Today, we are going to focus on the ‘partnership’ aspect of cloud computing. Using the cloud to store your critical business data is like having a cyber assistant. Not at the office? No problem. Thanks to the cloud you can access the data that you need when you need it. Want to get some input from your employees? That’s easy too. They can access your data remotely as well. Not only is your data more accessible, it’s also more secure. If something happens to the records you keep onsite it’s not a problem because all your data is backed up in the cloud. That’s security. Have some ideas that you’d like to make reality sooner rather than later? The cloud can be your partner there too. When you have access to the same business solutions as your larger competitors without all the bureaucracy that often slow downs corporate decision making you can leverage that to your advantage. Often the need for new equipment or increased data storage space is the obstacle that keeps your business from growing. Cloud computing offers flexible solutions that can grow with you as needed. Plus the reduced cost of “renting” vs. buying allows you to stretch your boundaries a little more comfortably.

Looking for a partner? Cloud computing may be just the one you’re looking for. There when you need it. Providing just the right amount of support. Bringing you, your data and your employees together without getting in the way. Reducing your overhead costs. Helping you generate new revenue. Identifying potential growth areas and giving you the flexibility to jump on them when the time is right.

Maybe the next Red Hot Chili Pepper’s song you’ll be singing is “Can’t Stop.”

“Can’t stop, addicted to the shindig. Chop top, he says I’m gonna win big.”
