In life, as in business, we know that motivation is the key to success. That's why we want to talk about ways to motivate yourself so that you'll actually be excited about spring cleaning. Keep reading for some tips that will have raring to go start cleaning and ways to use Stockpile simple home inventory solution to make these job easier in the future.

GOAALLLL!!

Are you hearing the soccer announcer's scream as a team scores? We hope so! What could be more motivating than that? Unfortunately, we can't send a guy to your house to cheer every time you do something. We can, however, assure you that checking things off of your to do list will feel really good.

For that to work, of course, you need to actually have a list and that's the goal that we're really talking about here. You need to have an idea of what you're trying to accomplish with your cleaning. Just general cleaning isn't a bad idea, but having a clear idea of why you're cleaning and what you want the final outcome to look like is a better one. Decide what you hope to accomplish in each room and write it down. Not only will this list give you a clear idea of just how big a job this is, it will also keep you on target and motivated.

No Gray Areas

Be specific! If you are vague in your planning it can be difficult to be precise in your execution. When your motivation starts to wane it can be easy to throw in the towel and call the job done, even when it really isn't. Don't give yourself an easy out. Include all the details that you want to achieve. This will keep you on target and it will give you more opportunities to rack up those little check marks. When you see that list of completed items starting to grow it can really up your motivation to finish strong.

Reward Yourself

No one knows what motivates you better than you do. Before you dive into this project decide on a reward for yourself. If you know that you tend to get overwhelmed and give up before you finish projects you can even give yourself smaller incremental rewards. Sometimes knowing that you'll have a cleaner more organized house just isn't reward enough, and that's okay. If it takes a pedicure, a trip to Starbucks, or a loaded pizza to keep you motivated, we say "Go for it!"

Insta-worthy

You know how great model homes and those featured in magazines look? Why can't your home be just as clean and organized? Flip through some magazines or browse some online sites to get inspired.
